cat was sitting for awhile (enough to where i had obvious condensation under oil cap) should i change the oil?
i just bought the car and was only told that it sat around alot the oil change sticker on the front window says to change in 300 more miles but im wondering if i should change it now since its been sitting for who know how long plus some grime fell (1 pinch guessimation) into the dipstick hole.
ps - right now car has synthetic oil in it.
I'd change it now for peace of mind. Oil should be changed every 3,000 miles or 3 months which ever comes first. It's said that synthetic oil lasts longer but how much longer? Good luck and hope this helps.
