I would like to start a printing/custom patch embroidery business, what kind of affordable machines can I get?
I would like to find an affordable alternative to the larger more expensive machines. For the printing I would like to find something that I can use to print out business cards (dbl sided) on heavy card stock (and be able to hook up to my computer) same goes for the embroidery (I would like to make custom patches) if anyone has any ideas or advise that would be greatly appreciated...

There are different ways of making a simple garment look unique. The same can be done by using the printing methods or making use of different surface ornamentation methods. These surface ornamentation methods could be the computerized embroidery, the machine embroidery, the hand beading methods or even the appliqué works. Out of these methods, it is the computerised embroidery design services which are most widely used.
So, how do you get the computer to actually do the embroidery? The system makes use of the embroidery machine which might be having a number of heads of needles. These are also used when the production turn around time is less and the work needs to be accomplished fast. Since the turn around time of the work is very fast, these costs of their work are very less as compared to other ornamentation options.
These services are usually employed in the making of the fabric based apparel, accessories and the items of home furnishings. You can even get your company logo, uniform badges and holograms and other designs made on running length fabrics using these embroidery design services. The development of the embroidery design is possible on a large range of fabrics but the process is rendered easier of those fabrics which can easily ‘sit' on the table. The light weight fabrics like the silks are often not easy to handle.
There are a range of computerised embroidery design machines available which can be used to craft the design as per your choice on almost all types of fabrics. These can be bought by large export houses or can also be used exclusively for doing the job work or contract work of a number of clients.
